loose ends.

in case you were still wondering...

i didn't get everything checked off my list. sad, i know. and one of the additions was... wait for it... a snow fort. awesome. however.. i didn't finish it. disappointing, i know. it would have been monumental. but lets be honest when it involves large amounts of snow, hours upon hours outside, and a girl who hasn't quite accustomed herself back to the chill air of those harsh minnesota sub-zero temps we should all have realized it was a long shot.

but hey, the snowman made it. complete with pictures. christmas day, snowed in with 20 plus inches, you betcha.

*** note the sweet old brown gloves. a fashion statement for sure.

scarves and pumpkins

the first of october. usually, i'm not this excited about it, but for some reason this year has me almost doing cartwheels. the excitement of doning a cute scarf and pulling out some hoodies is all i can think about. (and doesn't that picture make you just want to take a day off and go for a long walk/drive doing absolutely nothing? yes, please!)

however.... minor detail. i'm stuck in texas. where it's still 80 degrees and slightly sticky. where the colors of the leaves know only two colors. green and brown. depressing. even more so, just two weeks ago i thought we would be having cooler weather as the temperature for almost a week didn't even come to touch 80, with a couple days in the low 60s. i was all too excited. the next week? 90 with huge mosquitos! (it had rained). so not only did i have to sweat it out on my way to class again, but i had to suffer with huge welts on my legs from the blood suckers.

back to the blissful thoughts of fall and scarves.... in honor of october 1, i will be making a trip to the store to purchase my first pumpkin of the season and plan on carving it tonight. pictures? you know it.

twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. so throw off the bowlines. sail away from the safe harbor. catch the trade winds in your sails. explore. dream. discover.

life's a dance, you learn as you go....

above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. and let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. for as members of one body you are called to live in peace. and always be thankful.
